Letter From The Editors #01: Beauty First (June 2026)

Beauty First. This is our guiding principle, and we mean beauty in every sense of the word - skincare and fashion are only the beginning. We are equally inspired by the beauty within the natural world, the beauty of a well crafted story or song, and the beauty of a complex theory that opens our minds to new possibilities. Our greatest thrill is found in exploring the beauty of the symbols, patterns, and connections that give meaning to everything around us. Beauty First is, in essence, the relentless pursuit of the sublime. We’re launching Salonniere Magazine for all who are similarly captivated by all things beautiful, and desire in-depth conversation with other passionate thinkers.

It may seem odd to launch a magazine in 2026, but if you’re anything like us, you’re craving something fresh, something actually worth reading, and most importantly, something real. The internet is over crowded with clickbait, propaganda, shallow content, and lifeless AI simulations of all of the above. Only a few platforms dominate and shape discourse. Salonniere Magazine is a haven from the pressures of algorithms and advertising. We're writing what makes our hearts sing and inviting you to do the same. What to expect in the early days of our publication? While we won't churn out multiple articles daily, we'll regularly publish in depth essays, thorough reviews, original theories, cultural commentary, trend analysis and predictions, literary criticism, and engaging interviews. 

Beauty First means that makeup, mythopoetics, and metaphysics all have a home within our magazine. We’re creating the space we’ve always wanted: our own Salon that promotes both a rich inner life filled with learning and contemplation, as well as a stimulating social life, centered on the joyful exchange of ideas.
